The Longest Monday

I have checked the frequency counter four times today. It is still working. It was working an hour ago. It will presumably be working tomorrow.
And yet.
08:00 - Morning Routine
Normal breakfast. Normal tea. Normal measurement.
I stared at the numbers longer than necessary. 49.96 Hz. This means nothing today. Tomorrow it might mean something. Or nothing. Probably nothing.
I ate my breakfast standing up without noticing.
10:30 - Cleaning
I cleaned the apartment. Not because it was dirty, but because my hands needed something to do.
I organized the bookshelf by publication year. Then by author. Then back to publication year.
Mrs. Kuznetsova knocked. “Are you alright? I heard furniture moving.”
“I am rearranging,” I said.
“At 10 in the morning?”
“It is a good time for rearranging.”
She looked at me the way one looks at someone who is clearly not alright but insists they are.
14:00 - Tea Inventory
I sorted my tea collection by expiration date. Then by type. Then by country of origin.
I have 847 grams of tea. This is enough for approximately 169 cups. This information is useless but now I know it.
Ruslan messaged: “Ready for tomorrow?”
I replied: “Yes.”
He replied: “Me too. I have checked my barometer six times.”
This made me feel slightly better.
16:00 - The Walk
I went outside. Fresh air would help.
I walked to the corner store. Bought nothing. Walked home.
The walk took 23 minutes. I counted.
Day 11 Data
| Time | Pressure (hPa) | Frequency (Hz) | Mental State |
|---|---|---|---|
| 06:00 | 1017 | 49.96 | Anticipatory |
| 12:00 | 1016 | 49.97 | Restless |
| 18:00 | 1016 | 49.97 | Still restless |
Tomorrow these columns will have 64 rows instead of 3. The thought is both exciting and exhausting.
Current status:
- Hours until Tuesday 06:00: 12
- Equipment checks today: 7
- Tea varieties sorted: 14
- Books rearranged: Twice
- Productive work accomplished: Arguably none
